Abstract
This research aims to build a proposed educational unit based on co-learning to acquire the basic knowledge and skills of sewing techniques, and measure the effectiveness of the proposed educational unit in providing students with the knowledge, skills and trainees attitude. In addition, this research seeks to provide a proposed learning environment (alternating learning environment) in learning stations, which is one of the models of mixed learning. The research used the descriptive and experimental method because it relates to the achievement of the objectives and hypotheses of the research. The research sample consisted of (21) students from the Department of Sewing and Tailoring Technology, Level 2, in the following disciplines: Fashion Design, Manufacturing and Production of Clothes, at the Technical College for Girls in Jeddah, for the academic year 1439-1440. The program was applied before and after each group followed the current research descriptive and experimental method to answer the research questions and verify the hypotheses. The results can be summarized as follows: There are statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level between the mean scores of the students in the knowledge acquired in the proposed educational unit before and after the application for the benefit of the post-test. In the proposed educational unit before and after the application in favor of the post-test, and thus the second hypothesis is achieved in addition to the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of 0.05 between the mean scores of students in the trend scale before and after application in favor of the test achievement, and thus have achieved third hypothesis. Where is a positive trend among students towards learning built-style after the application and the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of 0.05 between the mean scores of female students in the pre application and post educational unit proposed for the post application, and thus have achieved fourth hypothesis.
