Abstract

Introduction: patients with Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation are highly susceptible to caries and hypersensitivity because of the altered morphology and structure of the enamel prisms, which can result in complication in management during the treatment.

Aim: the aim of the study was to assess the Dental Fear and Anxiety in a group of Egyptian children and adolescents with MIH.

Subjects and methods: the study was a comparative cross-sectional study included 200 Egyptian children and adolescents aged from 6 to 17 years old ,100 patients diagnosed with MIH and 100 as a control group attending the Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health Department at Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Future University in Egypt (FUE).

Results: using Frankl’s Behavior Rating Scale the results revealed that there was no significant difference between both groups.

Conclusion: there is no association or link between MIH and Dental Fear and Anxiety.
