Abstract

The current study investigated the attitudes of computer teachers towards using e-exams in teaching computer curricula in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In addition, the relation of these attitudes to gender, teaching experience, educational level, and educational district were examined. The objectives of the study were achieved through following the descriptive approach. A questionnaire was designed and applied to a sample of (502) male and female computer teachers, that was recruited using the stratified random sample method. To analyze the data, means and standard deviations were calculated, and to examine the statistical differences attributed to the gender, the independent samples t-test was used, and for other variables the one-way analysis of variance and the post hoc tests were applied. The findings indicated positive attitudes of computer teachers towards e-exams, and no statistically significant differences between the attitudes of computer teachers towards e-exams due to the study variables. The study recommended providing teachers and encouraging them with sufficient information regarding the use of e-exams for the educational process, and the study suggested conducting several studies on teachers attitudes and the factors affecting their attitudes and the effectiveness of using e-exams.
