Abstract

The parliamentary investigation is considered one of the most important oversight methods, as it is considered one of the essential oversight means, by which it confirms the protection of the legitimacy and integrity of the executive authority with regard to preserving the supreme interests of the state and society. And interrogation and other means through which this authority can carry out its work to confirm the status of the executive authority and keep its work under scrutiny to ensure the legitimacy of the procedures it undertakes in managing state affairs. General, and this committee has wide powers that enable it to view the documents related to this case as well as to summon witnesses and listen to their testimony regarding this case, and the work of this committee is dominated by the nature of confidentiality in all its work, and it is committees of a temporary nature that must finish its work within a specified period It differs from one country to another, after which it submits a report on the results of its work, which includes the most important results and recommendations that it proposes to adopt, and presents them to Parliament to take the appropriate decision in their regard. These recommendations are usually limited to specific matters, as they either recommend filling a legislative deficiency that was a reason for committing the violation under investigation, or referring negligent officials and employees If it is proven that they have committed crimes or violated the laws, the government officials are referred to the competent judicial authorities to take the appropriate measures against them, and the investigation may lead to a serious result that threatens the existence of the minister if it is proven that he committed a violation and thus a vote of confidence in him, and finally the parliamentary investigation may end with a recommendation that the recognition of the absence of a violation
