Abstract
This descriptive-analytical study used the functional constructivist theory to investigate the role of volunteering in developing skills for volunteers in various societal fields. The study found that voluntary institutions must promote volunteerism and highlight its role in society. It also recommended encouraging income-generating projects, reducing dependence on foreign organizations and governments, and creating employment opportunities for youth.
