Abstract

Research title: A suggested proposal to overcome the problems confronting teaching Islamic studies in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' programs "a field research".

Research purpose: The research aims to provide a suggested proposal to overcome the problems confronting teaching Islamic studies in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' programs through the following procedures:

  • Examine the problems confronting teaching Islamic studies in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' programs.
  • Examine the prevalence of the problems confronting teaching Islamic studies in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' programs.
  • What is the suggested proposal to overcome the problems confronting teaching Islamic studies in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' programs?

The researcher adopted a descriptive method and related to previous reviews of literature concerning the problems confronting teaching Islamic studies in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' programs to reach the research purposes. In addition, the researcher examined seminars, lectures and conferences to estimate the problems agendas, review the objectives of Islamic studies courses in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' institution in Islamic university in Medina city. The researcher estimated the problems, listed them in an agenda and distributed them according to five hubs contained sixty-seven sub-problems. This agenda had been validated by specialized in the specific filed to validate the reliability of the problems, thereinafter, these five main hubs were presented to and validated by specialized in teaching Islamic studies courses in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' institution in Islamic university in Medina city.

In the light of the previous procedures, the researcher reached the following results, an agenda contains the problems confronting teaching Islamic studies in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' programs. These problems were based in five main hubs which led to sixty-seven sub-problems. In addition, the prevalence of the problems confronting teaching Islamic studies in teaching Arabic to other languages speakers' programs ranged from medium to high prevalence.
