Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of using an instructional program based on social skills on the acquisition of social communication skills among the 10th grade students in the subject of national and citizenship education. instructional program based on social skills was built in teaching social education for 10th grade students and social communication skills scale. The study sample consisted of (92) students from from Princes Basmah school for girls which followed to education directorate in Al-Jamea’a district in the first semester of scholastic year 2020/2021. The study sample were (65) divided into two groups, one of them as an experimental group which consisted of (44) Students, the other as a control group which consisted of (48)students. The study unveiled that there is a statistically significant effect of using the instructional program based on social skills on the acquisition of social communication skills among the 10th grade students in the subject of national and citizenship education. The study recommended the use of the educational program based on social skills to improve the acquisition of social communication skills for the tenth grade students in the subject of national and citizenship education.
