This study aims at identifying the patterns of effective teaching among the teachers of public schools in the district of Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi and their relationship with the variable of gender. In order to achieve the study objectives, the study instrument has been prepared consisting of two parts : the first part is the classroom management and the second one is effective teaching ; their validity and reliability are verified. The study instrument has been applied to the study sample which consists of (300) male and female teachers who were chosen randomly. The results show that the degree to which the teachers of public schools in the district of Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi practice effective teaching and the patterns of classroom management is medium. The results revealed that there is a positive correlation relationship at the level (α≤0.05) between the patterns of classroom management and effective teaching, while there is no statistically significant relationship at the level (α≤0.05) regarding the relationship between the patterns of classroom management and effective teaching due to the variable of gender (males, females). In the light of the results, the study recommends the necessity of promoting the educational practices related to classroom management in accordance with the requirements of developing and activating the educational process as well as enhancing and enriching the educational process according to the principles of effective teaching.
