Abstract
The current research aimed to include the dimensions of national unity in the content of the social studies curriculum for the second year of middle school and to develop the values of tolerance among second-grade middle school students. And developing some skills of coexistence with the other among students of the second year of middle school and preparing a proposed historical unit in light of the dimensions of national unity to develop the values of tolerance and some skills of coexistence with the other among students of the second year of middle school, and the importance of benefiting from the inclusion of the proposed unit “National Unity and the Structure of the Egyptian Nation” within the content of the curriculum Social studies for the preparatory stage when developing it and the need to pay attention to educational activities in the content of the social studies curriculum for the second year of middle school, such as (intellectual seminars - educational plays) to develop the value of tolerance and some skills of coexistence with others and prepare guides for social studies teachers dealing with the values, principles and behaviors to develop the values of tolerance among their students.
