Problem: Low level fifth grade pupils in life skills and reading understanding
Sample: The sample consists of (40) fifth grade pupils divided into two groups: experimental (20) and control (20).
Aim: The study aimed at Using the Reciprocal Teaching strategy in developing some life skills and reading understanding of Primary Fifth Grade Pupils.
Tools: To achieve the aim, the researcher prepared a list of life skills and reading understanding of the third unit, Arabic curriculum of the primary fifth grade, as well as a Teacher's guide for teaching the study unit according to the reciprocal teaching strategy, and two tests: one for life skills and another for reading understanding.
Results: The study confirmed the effectiveness of using the Reciprocal Teaching strategy in developing some life skills and reading understanding of Primary Fifth Grade Pupils.
