Abstract

This study aimed to examine the prevalence of cyberbullying among intermediate and high school students in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Participants in the study were 110 students (Intermediate and high school) of whom 100 were male and 110 were female. Students completed survey that measure the extent to which the students in the sample experienced cyberbullying, additionally grade and gender differences were investigated.

Results revealed that cyberbullying is still in its infancy. The findings also indicated that there was no statistically significant difference for the demographic variables, gender, and grads. Although cyberbullying among youth in Saudi Arabia cannot be described as a threat yet. Based on the results of the study , one of the most prominent recommendations of the study was working on more preventive programs that protect against the spread of the phenomenon of cyberbullying and increase societal awareness of the phenomenon to avoids its risks.
