Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the extent to which mathematics teachers possess teaching skills from the point of view of supervisors in the State of Kuwait, and the descriptive analytical approach was used, and the study population consisted of the educational supervisors in the State of Kuwait for the academic year 2020/2021 AD, and a random sample consisting of (120 An educational supervisor, and a questionnaire was prepared for that, and the tool consisted of (22) items distributed into three areas: the first field, differentiated teaching, the second area, conceptual comprehension, and the third field, skills related to the teaching steps (focus, teaching, training, evaluation) , That the arithmetic averages ranged between (3.43-3.48), where the conceptual comprehension skills came in the first place with the highest arithmetic average of (3.48), followed by the differential teaching skills in the second place with an arithmetic average of (3.45). Related to the teaching steps in the last place with an arithmetic average of (3.43), the arithmetic mean of the tool as a whole was (3.45) with a medium degree, and there were no statistically significant differences (= 0.05) due to the effect of gender, and the absence of statistically significant differences (= 0.05) attributed to effect Experience, and based on the results of the study, the researcher recommended the necessity of making use of the teaching skills that were challenged in the study and making use of them in evaluating the teachers of the mathematics course at the secondary stage from the educational supervisors, and the need to issue a guide for mathematics teachers at the secondary stage that includes these teaching skills, and the necessity of holding courses Training and qualification for mathematics teachers at the secondary stage to train them in practicing teaching skills, and the need to educate mathematics teachers at the secondary stage to employ the teaching skills mentioned in the educational process, and to provide teaching aids that help mathematics teachers in the secondary stage to apply teaching skills.
