Abstract
The study aimed at identifying the concept and provisions of promotional gifts and their legal texts, and showing some of their applications in Islamic banks, through collecting the texts related to the subject of the study, analyzing them and showing evidence of their compliance to applying the provisions of Islamic Law as per general Islamic rules and norms. The study showed that Jordanian Islamic banks offer customers and depositors various promotional gifts in kind, and that it is desirable to accept this type of gifts, provided that such abides by the legal controls set by scholars. These controls should be known by the client of the bank, due to the need of the Muslim to know such provisions at this time of advancement in all aspects of life.
