Abstract

The prevailing picture of work procedures in Zakat institutions is still disproportionate to the extent of scientific and technological progress that we are witnessing. A progress that has a tangible impact on the institutional performance at the administrative, executive and procedural levels.

This study aims to demonstrate the impact of modern technologies on the radical change and the qualitative shift of work procedures in Zakat institutions.

Among other things, the study found that it is significant to use modern technologies and tools in such institutions effectively, as this will have a positive impact on the development of administrative work and the improvement of job performance in these institutions. This will eventually result in raising the quality of services provided to legal competent customers and to those worthy of Zakat from one hand, and in changing the mechanism of collecting and distributing Zakat funds.
