Abstract
Worship organizes relation between Allah and Man. Therefore, its study is one of the most important subjects in Islamic jurisprudence, amongst which is prayer which is the first of worships in Islam, which needs deep studies. This research discusses the issue of reading from the Qur’an during prayer about which scholars differ in their views. This research presents the evidence of each and discusses it in attempt to reach a sound view about it. The study applies both comparative and analytical methods. The conclusion reached is that reading from the Qur'an is allowed in optional prayers, while it is disliked in obligatory prayers whether this reading is from a hard or electronic copy for Computers, cellphones, and other smart applications.
