Abstract

This study aims to study the sayings of the interpreters of old and recent in the meaning of the exception contained in the two verses of Houd Surah (except what Allah wills). And discuss it in accordance with the fundamentals of interpretation and rules, in order to reach the most correct view in that. To achieve the objectives of the study ,the researchers followed the inductive approach, analytical approach and critical Approach. This research conducted many results, after studying in depth the various sayings including: many of these sayings don’t reach the degree of acceptance, as well as the most likely, for reasons that differ from one saying to another. There is more than saying that is accepted and plausible in interpreting (except what Allah wills) in the two Holy verses, such as saying that this exception is not a reality, but rather an absolute of will, and saying that those who are excluded in the verses are the people of Tawhid, and the saying to stop in indicating this exception, in which the knowledge is refered to Allah.
