Abstract
In this study, I have revealed the methods of Hadith scholars in their Ascription Science writings, taking four models of their books as a subject of study. To this end, the definition of ascription was presented in linguistics and terminology, and a suggested terminology was introduced. The stages of ascription science and its evolution have been traced before and after Islam. The study has mentioned the types of ascription that were adopted by Hadith scholars and clarified how new types of attribution arose. The study has also pointed out the importance of ascription science in religious, cultural and political traditions. Moreover, it has also explained the strings attached with these books and their focus on hadith reciters from Sahaba and others. Methods of ordering attributions and biographies were analyzed in these books, highlighting the benefits of these methods.
