Abstract
This study means to provide a careful critical analysis of three collections of poetry by Mubarak Bin Sayf Al Thani, namely "Night and Banks," "The Ode of the Gulf," "Summer Nights and Other Poems."
The poet subject of this study is Qatari by birth, with Gulf passion, Arab belonging, revolutionary tendency, and human outlook. From the vantage point he chooses for himself, he sets out from private concern on to national concerns and beyond to human concerns.
In this research, the researcher will use an eclectic approach, in which he will exploit all possible critical traditions that enable him to analyze the poems in question. Whatever suits the text is retained, other approaches are put aside. Analysis in this study is finally dictated by the text. The study tries to clear textual equivocations from within the text. But definitely, the study is careful not to read ideas or themes into the text.
Based on this, the study recognizes three spheres of the poetic creativity of Mubarak Bin Sayf; the inner personal sphere, the national and revolutionary sphere, and the human sphere. The poet's insight proposes that to be worthy, the creative process should pass through these spheres
