Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a counseling program based on mental alertness in improving the psychological flow of educational counselors in Jordan. The quasi-experimental approach was adopted to implement this study, and an available sample was chosen that included (40) psychological supervisors, and they were randomly assigned to the experimental group by (20) individuals, and the control group (20) individuals. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher designed a counseling program based on mental alertness in improving the psychological flow of educational counselors. She also developed a psychological flow scale consisting of (20) items as tools to collect data from the study sample members. After verifying the validity and reliability of the tool, the study concluded The most important results: There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) attributed to the group in the post measurement of the flow meter and it was in favor of the experimental group, and the study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α 0.05) between the group mean scores Experimental on the psychological flow scale in the pre and tracer measurements, and based on the results of the study, the researcher recommended that training programs on mental alertness for educational counselors be an integral part of the educational process, provided that they include applications and principles that help them acquire practices related to improving their mental alertness such as awareness And attention, and reflective thinking, which is reflected in their abilities to conform and interact with the environment around them
