Abstract
This study aimed to present an integrated picture about the features and elements of Islamic architecture, and the most important buildings and types of Islamic architecture in the world.
The research uses the method of analyzing and documenting some historical and archaeological studies of the Islamic eras. The research also approaches the analysis of information received through historical sources and references, archaeological research that was conducted on architecture in the Islamic ages.
The study reached several results, the most important of which are:
Islamic architecture is one of the manifestations of civilization that has characterized Islamic history, and this architecture continues to date to bear witness to the greatness and humanity of this civilization, and this architecture was not limited to mosques and houses only, but extended to include schools, basilicas and even castles and forts, which indicates the interest of Islamic civilization in all aspects of economic activity Social and also war.
The study recommended several recommendations, the most prominent of which are: The necessity of conducting research related to Islamic architecture due to the lack of available research on this subject
