Abstract
The research aims at defining the concept of social security and through a review of a set of definitions for some researchers in this area as the aim of the research to identify the most prominent risks and challenges facing that Social Security in Malaysia through a random sample of teachers, administrators and students at the University of Malaya, where the results showed that all respondents agreed that crime poverty, unemployment and lack of social justice, the lack of equal opportunities is one of the most prominent threats to social security in Malaysia, as the study showed that the citizen of Malaysia enjoys a high level of social consciousness can be used to develop a national plan as much as comprehensive strengthening and consolidation of social security in the Malaysian society, and the study concluded the importance of the role to be played by the Islamic education across major institutions, particularly the family, mosque, school and the media in reducing the risks of social security in Malaysia.
