Abstract
This study aimed toanalyzemurder in the West Bank for the year 2017 according to some characteristics of the offender related to age group, gender, and nature of work.The researcher used adescriptive method inanalyzing the data issued by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Palestinian Police.Theresearcher found many results, the most prominent of which is that the age group most responsible for murder is the youth category. Men are more likely to commit murder in the West Bank by almost ten timesthan women. The unemployed are more responsible for murder than others. The highest percentage ofemployed perpetrators is from workmen.Thestudy recommended the necessity of relying on the official statistics to develop sound policies. The study also recommended educating young people about the dangers of crime,in addition to the need to activate death penalty for murder.
