Effat Undergraduate Research Journal
Publication Ethics Statement
All manuscripts submitted to EURJ undergo a rigorous and confidential peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original research. Submissions are initially evaluated by the editorial team to assess their relevance, clarity, and alignment with the journal’s scope. Manuscripts deemed suitable are then sent to at least two independent expert reviewers for double-peer review.
Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the subject matter and are asked to provide constructive, unbiased feedback within a reasonable timeframe. The editorial team considers the reviewers' recommendations and makes the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript.
The EURJ team is committed to maintaining ethical standards and transparency in the review process, adhering to the guidelines of the Research Code of Ethics. Authors may appeal editorial decisions by providing a detailed justification, which will be reviewed by the editorial board.
The committee of Effat Undergraduate Research Journal (EURJ) consists of an editorial advisory board, which acts as the main decision maker. This board is a group of key individuals representing each college at Effat University and other distinguished international scholars. This board makes key decisions on the journal policy and scope to develop the journal and promote new initiatives.
The Editors’-In-Chief role is to take the lead in the journal issuance and may have to make all the decisions regarding the acceptance and rejection of the articles for publication. S/he is selected for their expertise and experience in the field, holding a publication record of a number of articles and /or books, and being a reviewer for an international peer-reviewed journal.
The scientific reviewer committee members should all abide by the Research Code of Ethics and are expected to offer constructive feedback to the author and any confidential comments for the editors. It is known that the committee should be diverse enough from several perspectives (fields, experience, countries, institutes and/or positions).
