Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the degree of Trainees Counselors possession, at the University of Jordan, for crises counseling skills, in addition to investigating differences in crises counseling skills, based in various variables: gender and study level. The study sample comprised of (205) students. For the purposes of achieving the objectives of the study, the researchers developed a rating scale of crises counseling skills, consisting of (80) items, covering crises counseling skills. The questionnaire showed accepted validity and reliability indicators. The results of the study showed that the crises counseling skills indicators in a low level. There are no significant differences in the level of crises counseling skills, based on gender. There are significant differences in the level of crises counseling skills, based on the study level, where the level of Crises Counseling Skills among postgraduates was high compared to undergraduates.
