Abstract

The paper aimed at investigating the degree of the Availability of productive schools characteristics among public secondary schools in Jordan in the light of the knowledge economy requirements. To achieve this aim, the researcher designed a 55- item questionnaire, and administered it on a sample of (316) managers. The result of the study showed that of the Availability of productive schools characteristics among public secondary schools in Jordan in the light of the knowledge economy requirements was low in Legislative field, decision-making, curriculum, finance, permanent education school; whereas it was medium in the regulatory field, professional development, production and innovation of knowledge, employing knowledge to align with the labor market, administrative empowerment, integration of technical education. The results also showed that there is no statistically significant differences (α =0.05) in the degree of of the Availability of productive schools characteristics among public secondary schools in Jordan, according to gender, educational qualification, and experience.
