Abstract

This research aims to identify the degree of adequacy of supervisory roles Practiced by the educational supervisor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the point of view of secondary school teachers in the area of Tabuk. The survey method was adopted، and a random sample of 260 teachers was selected. The results showed a very high degree of adequacy of supervisory roles practiced by the educational supervisor in all fields. The results also showed no significant differences in the responses of the sample members attributed to years of experience and scientific specialization in all fields، while differences appeared due to the scientific qualification in the field of leadership variable. The study recommended the need of identifying the training needs of teachers، utilizing the competencies of modern educational supervision in light of the characteristics of the knowledge society in preparing training programs، focusing on the leadership role of teachers، and the need of striving to break the barriers between educational supervisors and teachers.
