Abstract
The study aimed at identifying the status quo of using excellence indicators by academic administrations at Jordanian public universities based on McKenzie Model. In order to achieve the objective of the study, a questionnaire was developed consisting of (59) paragraphs and its validity was verified. The study sample consisted of (146) academic leaders. The study results showed that the degree of the status quo of using excellence indicators by Academic administrations at Jordanian Public Universities from the point of view of the study sample was moderate, and there were no significant differences due to the academic rank. The study recommended activating the training of academic leaders on the leadership of excellence, and adapting internal courses at the university level or external courses at the level of local and regional universities to gain and exchange different skills related to leadership excellence.
