Abstract

The study aimed at determining the efficiency level of the accountability system at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education from the managers' point of view and its relation with some variables. The sample consisted of (208) managers working in the Kuwait Ministry of Education. A questionnaire about the efficiency level of the accountability system was developed consisting of 35 questions among four domains: the clarity of accountability system; accountability of duties and tasks; accountability when committing prohibitions; and the accountability of job ethics. The results of the study revealed that the efficiency level of the accountability system in the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education from the point of view of its managers was medium. The results also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences with regard to the effect of the job title and the scientific qualification on the level of efficiency level of the accountability system estimations of the Kuwaiti Ministry’s managers. However, differences were found due to the impact of experience (21 years and over).
