The Degree of Academic Leaderships Governance Practice at King Abd Al- Azeez University from the Faculty Members Perspectives
Abstract
The study aimed at determining the degree of academic leaderships at King Abd Al- azeez University for governance from the faculty members perspectives. The study sample consisted of (323) teaching staff members randomly selected from the study population consisting of (3057) teaching staff members from King Abd Al- azeez University. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire of (30) items was developed. Findings revealed that the academic leaders governance practice at King AbdAl- azeez University was high in all items according to the faculty members perspectives.
The study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of practicing academic leaders governance due to gender or college variables. Further, significant differences were found due to academic rank in favor of associate professors. The study recommended continuing the practice of governance by the academic leaders at King AbdAl- azeezUniversity.
