Abstract

Abstract: The study aimed to identifying the pressures of administrative work and its relationship to organizational depression among the administrative leaders in Jordanian public universities. The descriptive correlational methodology was used for the purposes of the study. The study sample consisted of (51) deans, (61) deputy deans and (128) department heads. They answered the (60) item study tool items distributed under administrative work pressure and organizational depression. The results of the study showed that the degree of pressure of administrative work among administrative leaders in public Jordanian universities from their point of view was medium. The domains were in descending order as follows: pressures from role conflict, the pressures resulting from the nature of work and its workload, and the pressures resulting from the ambiguity of the role. The results also showed that the level of organizational depression among administrative leaders in public Jordanian universities from their point of view was medium. The domains -in descending order- were as follows: physical depression, psychological depression and behavioral depression. The results also showed a significant correlation at (α≤0.05) between the the pressures of administrative work and organizational depression among administrative leaders in public Jordanian universities.

ملخص: هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى ضغوط العمل الإداري وعلاقتها بالاكتئاب التنظيمي لدى القادة الإداريين في الجامعات الأردنية الحكومية. وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي الإرتباطي لأغراض الدراسة. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (51) عميد و(61) نائب عميدٍ و(128) رئيس قسم, أجابوا عن فقرات أداة الدراسة المكونة من (60) فقرة موزعة على مجالات: ضغوط العمل الإداري, والاكتئاب التنظيمي, وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أنَّ درجة ضغوط العمل الإداري لدى القادة الإداريين في الجامعات الأردنية الحكومية من وجهة نظرهم جاءت متوسطة. وجاءت المجالات مرتبة تنازلياً (الضغوط الناجمة عن صراع الدور, الضغوط الناجمة عن طبيعة العمل وأعبائه, الضغوط الناجمة عن غموض الدور). كما أظهرت أن مستوى الاكتئاب التنظيمي لدى القادة الإداريين في الجامعات الأردنية الحكومية من وجهة نظرهم جاء متوسطة. وجاءت المجالات مرتبة تنازليا (الاكتئاب الجسدي, الاكتئاب النفسي, الاكتئاب السلوكي), وقد حصل مجال الاكتئاب الجسدي على درجة تقييم متوسطة بمتوسط حسابي (3.51), كما وأظهرت الدراسة أن هناك علاقة ارتباطيه دالة إحصائيا(α≤0.05) بين ضغوط العمل الإداري والاكتئاب التنظيمي لدى القادة الإداريين في الجامعات الأردنية الحكومية.
