Abstract
This research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of horizontal andvertical educational web sites designs on acquiring front page skills, selflearningskills, and visual thinking for student teachers of Al- Aqsa Universityin Palestine. The two researchers adopted the experimental approach. Theresearch sample consisted of two experimental groups, each included 40male and female students. The two researchers used an observation checklist for measuring F. P skills, another for measuring self- learning skills andvisual thinking test. The results indicated the effectiveness of the two designson acquiring the skills besides the absence of a statistically significantdifference between the two designs in acquiring front page skills and visualthinking. However, the vertical design was more effective in developing theself- learning skills among the samples.
