Abstract
This study aimed to investigate mainly the students’ attitudes towardsnon- academic activities and their effect on academic achievement fromtheir viewpoint in Salfeet Educational Region «as a branch of Alquds OpenUniversity».To achieve this purpose, the researcher used the descriptive methodincluding the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) , ANOVA, and Ttest,for statistical analysis, The study revealed important results.Here are some of them:1. The attitudes of students towards non- academic activities and its effecton the academic achievement from their view point in Salfeet EducationRegion were moderate.2. There was no effect for the demographic variables (age, sex, social status,profession) on students' attitudes towards non- academic activities andtheir effect on academic achievement from their viewpoint in SalfeetEducation Region at the statistical level (α =0.05%)3. There was no effect for the variables (academic year, type of activity) onstudents' attitudes towards non- academic activities and their effect onacademic achievement from their view point in Salfeet Education Regionat the statistical level (α =0.05%) .In the light of the study results, it is recommended to encourage studentsto be involved in non- academic activities and further studies in the otherEducational Regions of the University, Should be conducted
