Abstract
This study aims to explore the relation between emotional intelligenceand achievement motivation of Arab Open University students /Jordanbranch.The sample of this study consisted of (201) students in four faculties:Education, IT, English Literature, and Business. Two scales were used: The“Bar On” scale for emotional intelligence, and the achievement motivationscale that was developed by the researcher.This study’s findings indicated significant positive correlation betweenemotional intelligence and achievement motivation among the sample ofstudy.There were significant negative differences attributed to gender andfaculty across the emotional intelligence and achievement motivationmeasurement scales. The study was followed by some importantrecommendations
