Abstract
The current study aimed to identify the level of irrational thoughts and self - deception and the relationship between irrational thoughts and self - deception among secondary stage students. The study sample consisted of 529 students, of whom 248 males and 281 females. The results of the study showed that both the total degree of the irrational thoughts scale and the total degree of the self - deception scale were moderate. There was also a statistically significant correlative relationship between irrational thoughts and self - deception among secondary stage students. The study recommended holding awareness - raising lectures for students to increase their awareness to reduce the level of irrational thoughts and the level of self - deception.
