Abstract

This study aims to investigate the obstacles faced academic facultymembers in the University College of Applied Sciences in Gaza, and preventingtheir achievement and involvement of the applied scholar research. It aims tofind ways to overcome these obstacles. The researcher tested the validity andcredibility of a questionnaire to monitor the most important obstacles facingfaculty members in the field of applied scholar research in order to classifythese obstacles. Faculty members views were taken via the questionnaire thathas been distributed among the study representative sample. This study hasbeen conducted within the scholastic year 2010 – 2011 at UCAS. For thepurpose of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was implemented toanswer the research questions, and the SPSS was used for the data analysis.Besides the recommendations, the results showed that no statisticallysignificant differences at the level of significance (μ ³ 0.05) responses offaculty members at UCAS about the obstacles applied research attributed togender, variable qualification, or years of service
