Reasons behind the High Prevalence of Exam Cheating among High School Students in Ramtha District
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the cheating phenomenonfrom teachers’ and students’ perspectives within the educational districtin the city of Ramtha. The quantitative approach was a questionnaire builtby the researcher that consisted of (47) items. Randomly selected (300)teachers and students. The study findings revealed the diffusion reasonswas (3.33), from the teachers› perspectives of the diffusion reasons was(3.31) from the students› perspectives. Differences are in favor of teachersin terms of the reasons related to the students as well as to the localcommunity. There were statistical differences in favor of students forreasons related to teachers, and reasons related to curricula and schooladministration.
