Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship betweenstress at work andachievement motivation, and the differences depending onvariables (Sex, managerial experience) strategies in confronting stress atwork. The sample consisted of all middle school principals in Batna, duringthe 2013/ 2014 academic year, totaling (26) principals. The researcherrelied on the descriptive approach. To achieve the objectives of the research,the researcher built a form comprises three questionnaires: The first onemeasures stress at work, the second the achievement motivation, and the thirdthe strategies facing stress at work. The researcher used the collected dataanalysis based on (Pearson) correlation coefficient, extraction of mediam,standard deviations, and t- test to see the differences, in addition to the useof statistical software packages for Social sciences (SPSS) . As a result, theresearch found the existence of a positive correlation between stress at workand the achievement motivation, which was (0.52) . The results also showedthat there is no statistically significant differences among the research sampleor the coping strategies related to gender and management experience; Therewere no statistically significant differences among the research sample inachievement motivation due to the variable sex and managerial experience.
