Abstract
The aim of this study is to detect the most important difficulties that facethe employment of persons with intellectual disability from the perspectiveof workers in the Intellectual Education institutes and programs in Riyadh.The study population consisted of (945) workers in the Intellectual Educationinstitutes and programs in Riyadh. The study reached the following results:1- People with intellectual disabilities did not have some of the necessaryskills to work limits their employment opportunities. 2- Intellectuallydisabled person didn›t receive necessary training to do his/ her job properly.3- The inability of persons with disabilities to use modern technologieslimits their employment opportunities. 4- Foreign labor with low cost andhigh productivity is prefered than people with intellectual disabilities. 5-Intellectually disabled persons didn›t receive necessary training to do theirjob properly. 6- The wrong methods in education such as excess protectionfor people with intellectual disabilities by their families prevent them fromemployment. 7- Family fear from the bad treatment of others to people withintellectual disabilities in the workplace. 8- The negative trend from familytoward capabilities and efficiency of persons with intellectual disability limitstheir employment opportunities.
