Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the effect of an educational programbased on the Communicative Approach on developing speaking skills amongninth grade students in Zulfi.An educational program and speaking testwere developed and introduced to the curricula and methods of teachingArabic, then it was applied on the target sample.The experimental groupwas taught according to the educational program, while the control groupwas taught using the traditional method.After six week of teaching, the testwas administrated for both groups.The analysis of variance ANOVA showedsignificant statistical differences at the level of (a=0.05) , but in all speakingskills it is in favor of the experimental group.
