Abstract
This study aimed at discovering the relationshipbetween parenting rearing style and perfectionismamong students of Yarmouk University. To achievethe purpose of this study, the data were collectedby using Buri’s scale of parenting style (1991)(Democratic, Authoritarian, Permissive) and thescale of perfectionism for Slany et al (2001) . Thesample consisted of (659) students, males andfemales during the second semester of the academicyear 2014/ 2015. The descriptive- analytical andcorrelative approach has been used. The researchershave utilized SPSS program in order to analyze thedata. The study showed that the parenting rearingstyle which is more common than the other styles is thedemocratic style. Furthermore, the results revealedthat there is a medium level of perfectionism amongthe students. Finally, the study noted that there isa positive relationship between parenting rearingstyles (Democratic, Authoritarian, Permissive)and Perfectionism among the students at YarmoukUniversity.
