Abstract
The aim of this study is to reveal the degree ofthe employment and obstales of social networkingsites in spreading the values of citizenship byfaculty members among Hail University. To achievethe objectives of the study, the researchers used twoinstruments to this purpose. A sample of the studentsconsisted of (387) and (197) faculty members fromHail University were chosen with stratified methodfrom the study community; (113) students, and (72)faculty members were selected randomly for theinterview.Results of the study showed that theemployment of social networking sites in spreadingthe values of citizenship by faculty members fromthe perspective of students and faculty memberswas moderate; there are differences from theperspective of students attributed to academic levelvariable, in favor of third- year students; there wasno difference attributed to specialization variable.There was a difference attributed to academic rank(assistant professor, associate professor) in favorof (associate professor) ; there was a differencebetween academic rank (professor, assistantprofessor) in favor of (professor) ; there was nodifferences attributed to specialization variable.The results showed that there were no obstaclesthat limits university faculty members, students andcourses.
