Abstract
This study aimed to find out students’professional identity level at Hebron University.To achieve the goal of the study, a questionnaireconsists of 40 items has been designed andmodified. The questionnaire has the same gradingas Likert scale, and it includes five areas: teachingand learning, student growth, school development,relationships and professional services, and growthand personal development. A random stratifiedsample was chosen, and it consists of 258 fourthyearstudents, including 44 males and 214 females.To achieve the purpose of the study; the descriptiveapproach was used. Results indicated the presenceof a high level of professional identity of HebronUniversity students with a mean reached (3.90) . Theresults also showed that there are no statisticallysignificant differences in the professional identitylevel due to the gender, but there are significantdifferences in the professional identity level betweenFaculty of education students and Faculty of Artsand Sciences students for the benefit of Facultyof Education students. According to these results,many recommendations were presented , such asdeveloping Educational programs for studentsin the Faculties of Arts and Sciences contributesto increase the level of professional identityawareness. This research also recommended toconduct other researches in the field of developingthe professional identity among university studentsand measure the professional level of identityamong students in other disciplines such as, law,counseling and nursing.
