Comparison between forehand and backhand short serve accuracy among badminton players in Jordan
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the difference between the forehand and back hand short serve accuracy to the players badminton in Jordan. The study sample of 33 players from badminton players in Jordan, whereas researcher used the descriptive approach that suits the nature of the study and used a test to measure the forehand and backhand of the short serve accuracy of 10 attempts for each player in each type of serve , given serve of 1-5 degrees, and the mark for the test 50 degrees for each serves types. To analyze the data, the researcher used the tests (Paired Samples Test) double samples, analysis of variance (One – way anova), and (scheffe test), the study concluded that the backhand short serve more accurate than the forehand short serve for players badminton in Jordan and the backhand and forehand short serve to the players in the national of Jordan team with the most accurate players than the clubs players. Researcher concluded that Jordanians players definitely need to focus on using backhand short serve during the competition and the emphasis on Jordanians badminton coaches increased focus on backhand short serve during training
