Abstract
This study aimed at comparing the reading skills of regular students to the reading skills of students with reading difficulties (Dyslexia) , to reveal if there is correlation between the two types of the students (regular and with reading difficulties) ,their gender, and the reading skills. The sample of the study consisted of (120) male and female students at the fourth grade (60 male and female students with reading difficulties, 60 male and female regular students of average academic attainment.) To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used a test to examine reading skills that consisted of (10) questions, along with a questionnaire that consisted of (27) items. The results of the study showed that there were differences in the reading skills of the regular students and the skills of the students with reading difficulties (Dyslexia) , in favor of the regular students. Moreover, (7) items out of the 27 showed to be of a high degree. The results indicated that there were no differences in the reading skills of male and female students (regular students and students with reading difficulties (Dyslexia) ) .
