Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of application of the developed physical education curriculum based on the knowledge economy and whether the level of application differs according to gender and academic qualifications. The study population consisted of 158 teachers, with a sample of 40 physical education teachers from the Ajloun Education Directorate selected intentionally. The descriptive approach was used, with a tool comprising 40 items distributed across the fields of evaluation strategies, outcomes, life skills, knowledge economy, and information technology. The study's results showed that the degree of application, as estimated by physical education teachers, was moderate in all fields of the developed curriculum based on the knowledge economy, despite variations in the application of some fields. The slight variation between fields may be due to negative attitudes towards this developed curriculum. Additionally, the results revealed no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≥0.05) in all fields due to the gender variable, indicating that male and female teachers apply the curriculum equally. However, concerning the academic qualification variable, statistically significant differences were found in evaluation strategies, life skills, and information technology due to the academic qualifications. The researchers recommend reconsidering the implementation mechanism of the improved physical education curriculum based on the knowledge economy.
