Abstract

This study aimed to determine the degree of effectiveness of distance education in the schools of the Directorate of Education in Taiba and Wasatia, as well as the challenges faced from the parents' perspective, considering the effects of gender, school type, and school stage. The sample consisted of 703 parents selected through random stratified sampling from a total of 14,060. Using a descriptive and analytical approach, the results indicated that the degree of effectiveness was moderate, with a mean of 2.69 and a standard deviation of 1.259. Additionally, no statistically significant differences in distance education effectiveness were found according to the study variables. The study recommends training teachers on teaching strategies in distance education and its applications, developing an evaluation mechanism, controlling distance study time, providing free internet access for e-learning sites, and ensuring adequate devices are available in schools.
