Abstract
This study aimed to reveal the organizational ingenuity of government school principals in Mafraq Governorate and their relationship to institutional excellence. The study sample consisted of 350 teachers who were randomly selected. A questionnaire was developed and used for collecting data, after its validity and reliability were confirmed. The first part of the questionnaire consists of 26 items that measure organizational ingenuity, and the second part consists of 25 items that measure institutional excellence. The results of the study revealed that the degree of availability of organizational ingenuity among government school principals in Mafraq Governorate was moderate. There were no statistically significant differences in the means of the study sample’s responses due to the gender variable; however, there were differences due to the years of service variable, in favor of those with less than ten years. Additionally, there were statistically significant differences due to the educational qualification variable, favoring those with a bachelor's degree.
As for institutional excellence, the results revealed that its level was moderate. There were no statistically significant differences in the means of the study sample’s responses due to the gender and years of service variables; however, there were differences due to the educational qualification variable, favoring those with a bachelor's degree. Finally, the results showed a positive correlation between the degree of availability of organizational ingenuity and the level of institutional excellence. Considering the study results, the researcher provided a set of recommendations, the most important of which was the need to work on increasing awareness of the importance of organizational ingenuity and institutional excellence within the school.
