Abstract

The study relied on the analysis of the synoptic maps for the pressure levels 1000 and 500 millibars for the years 2006-2007 / 2016-2017 for the Noaa satellite site to study the direction of the axis of the groove on southern Iraq and accompany the pressure systems accompanying it. The study reached the most prominent results that the winter months in the study area are from Most compressive systems accompany the direction of the axes of the grooves in their different directions, through the analysis of synoptic maps, due to the fact that the air grooves are accompanied by cold systems on the study area Because it helps the surface systems to advance towards the study area due to the higher frequency and frequency waves of the air waves that push the coolest systems towards the study area and follows the winter months and the spring months in terms of accompanying the surface systems to the directions of the groove axis on the study area and the spring season follows the fall season the fact that the air grooves that accompany the cold systems As for the summer and May months, no direction of the axis of the grooves or any accompaniment to the cold systems was recorded, due to the dominance of the subtropical high in the upper air layer, as well as the prevalence of dents and waves. Hosted by other phenomena at the level of barotrauma 500 millibars. Air grooves are an upper atmospheric phenomenon and are short air waves that appear at the pressure level of 500 millibars. These waves appear as a result of fluctuation in energy that spreads in the physical medium perceived by mechanical waves. The upper air waves are the product of its main engine, the surface of the Earth and the resulting thermal energy. After that, these upper air waves are controlled by the functioning of the surface pressure systems at the pressure level of 1000 millibars. The waves are controlled by the thermal differences between the northern and southern regions in Iraq and between the south. Iraq and the countries surrounding it. As these waves are transmitted without being accompanied by a movement of the minute of the medium through rotational motion and alternating, the particles will follow the paths of the wave, which results in the penetration of that wave into that medium and a certain wavelength.
