Abstract

There are many perspectives about a complex and interconnected tourism phenomenon and its trends & functions. Here, we can say that there are three industries that will lead the new global economy: tourism, information, space. Also 80% of the poor people in the world settle in the 12 states, in 11 of these states the tourism has an important role. So, tourism become developmental tool for poverty reduction through many mechanisms. The problem of this research appears in the following questions: what is the role of tourism in poverty reduction? How tourism can achieve this role? What is the determents that facing the role of tourism in the poverty reduction. This research is a first attempt in the arab homeland about the relation between poverty and tourism, and its applicative to development, modification and application.
