Abstract

A study of the health situation in the district of Ghamas in Diwaniyah Governorate found that the services were distributed in some areas or neighborhoods, with four health centers in addition to the health house, all of which occupied an area of 8541 m 2. The per capita share was 16.39, The planning criteria adopted by the Ministry of Health indicate that there is a shortage of nurses for social and economic conditions. When comparing the number of beds in the health centers with the population in the city, there is a significant shortage of beds of 5000 beds, (500000 m 2) on the basis of Standard Dah bed for each (100 m 2), and that there is a shortage in the number of health centers based on the standard unit for each center (10,000 inhabitants), which means the presence of (10 health centers). In the study of geographical distribution of these centers or institutions, there was a difference in the distribution of health centers on the basis of population size, which had an impact on the efficiency of the health services provided. There is also variation in some centers, especially in the first model health center located in the area ( Because of the small number in other centers compared to the population, which reduced the efficiency of the service provided by the doctor in these centers, and for the purpose of raising the efficiency of these centers must be redistributed and the redistribution of doctors on the basis of population size, which makes these centers provide services efficiently and well.
